Pastor Tom Marxen

Pastor Tom Marxen

Fruit Grower for 30+ years - Apples, Strawberries, Raspberries, Pumpkins, and some weeds (easy part).

I am a worker in God's Field, a request I made to the LORD some 20 years ago while spraying a 100 acre Apple Farm in Jordan, MN in the middle of the night. He has been faithful to my request and I am beginning to see His Life in my efforts. His field is the world, His fruit are those people becoming like Christ. Growing in stature and grace unto maturity, the sweet savor of Christ Himself living in His Ecclesia.

Word of the LORD -  December 30, 2012 Today I call you to attention. I will have all of your attention. I am paying attention to your lives. I call attention to you, my Precious ones, valuable warriors, I call attention to you. I complete you. On the seventh day is the rest, the Sabbath, the completion, the fullness. He who overcomes gets the reward. Pay attention to me I am your reward. I am better than all the rest. I am more than you know, more than you see, more than you can think. I am ready, right on time, never delayed, always full. Seek Me, pay attention, You will find me undivided when your whole heart is focused. Pay attention, it’s the cost of your reward. Deficit. I fill your deficits; your lack is removed by fullness. Two is better than one and a threefold cord is not easily...

Making Room for Christmas

The birth or Advent of Jesus Christ came at just the right time. It could not come any earlier or later, it could not come without preparation. I am talking here about the physical appearance of the Messiah (Christ) as prophesied through out the Old Covenant. This event (Advent) could have been done any way the Lord chose, so it is significant to look at how the birth of Jesus came because it reveals much about the true nature and character of the Lord. It also teaches us How to Recognize Him, and How to Receive Him.

In the rebuilding of our site, I came across a prophetic word dropped in me over 8 years ago while Kathie and I were enjoying some down in Two Harbors, Minnesota.  I find it surprisongly relevant for today. I guess the Word of the Lord actually lasts forever! Here it is:   Come to Me A "Word of the Lord" through and to Pastor Tom Marxen, 07/30/04.@ Lake Superior, Two Harbors, Minnesota _____________________________________________________________________________ How far are you willing to go to see the beautiful things? The rare, exquisite,.. the unique, The deep things That nourish and replenish your soul. What are you willing to leave behind? What things are you willing to do without For the sake of the journey For the sake of the treasure that is already there, waiting for you To see, To possess, And have welded and woven into the fabric of your Life? Gold, crimson, azure...

A Prophecy for all believers...

I am your strength, your high tower,

I AM your defender, I AM the bread from heaven, I AM the true bread, the secret manna, I AM the living water, I AM your redeemer.

I AM your husband, your maker. I AM the lover of your soul, I AM the friend of sinners, I AM the first light of day where Mercy is always new in every second,

I AM available. I AM the fierce fire of jealousy on your behalf, I AM the Lamb, and my blood is your life,

I AM the Judge who declares satisfaction to every accusation against you.

With all the Christmas Plays, Christmas Carols, Decorations, Shopping frenzy, and “magical” Christmas stories and tales, it’s all too easy to miss the simple and the obvious in the Biblical account of the birth of Jesus, the Messiah. The Timing: While the birth of Christ is arguably the most pivotal event of history, it is also curious that it happens in a very obscure and secret way. The Bible says that the whole of the Old Testament (the Law and the Prophets) speaks of Him (Matthew 5:17) and that He was born “at just the right time” (Romans 5:6), but this same Bible never gives us an instruction to commemorate the date of His birth. The truth of the matter is that we absolutely cannot pinpoint the exact day of the year that Jesus was born. There is a lot of evidence for this or that season, but there is no...
