What is in your
house that is not birthed of God but you argue and contend that it should be?
Ishmael was the first son born to Abraham through his wife’s servant
Hagar, but He was not the son of the Covenant, he was the result of Abram’s
best effort to make the promised son appear.
God has
"heard" Ishmael
But God has not
promised Ishmael.
The Church is full
of Ishmaels, it is more common problem that what we think. Like Abraham, we
struggle with the Lord that our best efforts at helping Him fulfill the promise
should be good enough.
But there comes
a time to put Ishmael out,
Abraham was
saddened when He sent Him away.
Ishmael was around
a long time before he had to go, maybe we get to thinking that it is OK for Him
to hang around and at least share with Isaac, but the truth is that they will
always be against each other.
Abraham was
sexually "dead"
Sarai was sexually
"dead"
The Life of Isaac
came directly from the covenant words of God.
We must become
"DEAD" to sin and alive to God.
And then, the
promises will become reality.
