Read Galations 2:20 and Romans 6:4-5
When we talk about the Lord becoming resident in us by the
indwelling of the Holy Spirit, He’s chosen our body as His home. Just remember,
don’t give the Lord a one room house (your heart), allow Him access to the
whole body (every room). He doesn’t want a mansion; He wants a fixer-upper. After
all, He is a carpenter. Every problem we face is like a nail used in building a
house, and every problem (0r nail) that goes into the house (or our body) just makes it (or us) stronger and there is
nothing stronger than the foundation the Lord has given us to stand on.
So just remember when you find yourself in the middle of the
ocean in a paddle boat with no oars that Jesus walks on water and He will use
the current to drift us toward where He wants us to be. If you spring a leak in
your boat or your roof starts to leak in the Lord’s house (your body), don’t
worry, you have the most awesome flotation device which will not puncture,
flood or sink.
If you find yourself between a rock and a hard place,
remember that the Lord is our rock and the hard place is the place that the
enemy wants to convince us that we are in. The
enemy will also try to convince us that if Jesus lives in us, as us, and
through us, we need not put on the armor of God. When Jesus went to the cross,
bringing us with him, he defeated the enemy (See “The King’s Greatest Secret – The mirror and the cross”).
The shedding of His blood made us worthy of carrying the armor of God and the
enemy could not defeat it then nor can he penetrate it now. Otherwise, the
enemy wouldn’t be trying to convince us we do not need it now.
Galatians 2:20 MKJV
I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer
I, but Christ lives in me. And that life I now live in the flesh, I live by
faith toward the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself on my behalf.
Romans 6:4-5 MKJV
4 Therefore we were
buried with Him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised up from the
dead by the glory of the Father; even so we also should walk in newness of
life.
5 For if we have been
joined together in the likeness of His death, we shall also be in the likeness
of His resurrection;
