WORD OF WEEK - By Sandra Christensen
Have you ever had a day where all of life’s circumstances weigh on you to the point of oppression? Have you ever walked around hating everything and harassing every one you come into contact with? Have you ever had a day where all that is coming out of your mouth is negative, pessimistic, and critical? It’s a trick of the pit!! The truth is it is not even you creating these thoughts and feelings, it is Satan’s little cohorts trying to use your mind and emotions to destroy you and abuse anyone you are coming into contact with! He is using you as his puppet to steal, kill and destroy. They will, through your weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and habitual thinking, coerce you to agree with their thoughts and think they are yours! Your feelings follow after your thoughts and the down hill battle begins. Our defense is to filter our thoughts through the mind of Christ, the anointing that lives within us. Drop in and do a spot check on our thinking…does it line up with Gods word?
On a recent day I was feeling completely overwhelmed and spiritually oppressed. I didn’t want to waste one more moment allowing this harm to my own soul, or wreak any more havoc allowing strife to have its way with family members that I love. I sat down to journal it out. As I listened to the words and the thoughts being impressed on me I began to know and identify that it was not my voice or the voice of the God prompting and harassing me. There were other anti-Christ spirits worming their way into my thinking. As I typed it out I had, in my minds eye, the image of this flat fore headed demon with big gorilla arms swinging his fists and attempting to block my way from being set free from old bondages and gaining new ground.

THE TRICK OF THE PIT
The days on the calendar keep ticking by and before I know it summer will be gone. My season of fruit barren and lost. There is definitely a battle for my soul going on. Sitting here I know that I need and want to give some love to my soul, to be kind to her instinctually. But there is a hard flat fore headed monster that is standing in the way with gorilla arms hanging down that says no, you don’t deserve any love, you are BAD. Crawl back into that bed and shiver and quake in the fast forward replay of remembering all your failures and trying to figure it all out. Stretch out and waste these days doing aimless and mindless things because you can’t see through to victory, you must remain the same, you are not going anywhere. Sit down and play games and waste days. You know that I’ll still be here tomorrow too, to remind you of how you wasted days and nights and times with your profitless wonderings and worries. Just sit there while I tell you all you’ve ever done and how it was WRONG and BAD.YOU have failed at everything you’ve ever wanted you’re BAD. Don’t go to the gym, don’t eat right, and don’t show any love or affection for anyone, especially yourself. Isolate your heart, do it tomorrow and when tomorrow never comes I’ll let you know how sadly pathetic you’ve been. Count on it, count on me I am your best friend I am procrastination. I am fear that casts out all love. I bind the sick and break the brokenhearted. I cast down any high thought that comes against me to slay me. I’ll be the one to prove you wrong every time and torment you over and over showing you how it was done. I am gloom and doom and no hope for tomorrow. I’ll block you, stop you and deceive you in every storm and trial just so I can stick it to you over and over and over again. I am insanity. I am who will suck your bones till they are dry and have no life giving properties left whatsoever, I am hopelessness and despair. My delight is to keep you adrift and weightlessness, without any foundation or base, to keep you self- ish in idleness your life a part of nothing concrete or of purpose. I am perturbation. I will prompt you and prod you and hold it up in your face, everything you’ve ever said and everything anyone else has ever said to haunt you and taunt you with all your bitterness’s and regrets, I am unforgiveness. Jump high jump low every where you turn there too will I go, I’ll judge you and mock you and get in your face I’ll never let go. I can and am using the whole human race. I am judgment and expectations, I always disappoint you, make you a disgrace. Surely God did not say “do not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.”
I thought to myself,” So here I sit, communing with the pit and eating of that tree. I should change my name to Eve.”
In expressing all these negative thoughts and feelings, the power of them was defused and I became instantly delivered of the soul tormenting garbage. I began to be able to restore my soul to feeling safe and sane. I allowed Christ in me, the Holy Spirit, to comfort my own soul, like David did. I began to speak to my soul through the spirit of Christ. It sounded like this.
THE SOLUTION OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD
“ Shhhh little soul, don’t be distressed it is the Fathers good pleasure to give you the kingdom. It is the Fathers good pleasure to keep you safe from all harm. These are just big bully demons that have no more power than dust against the Lover of your soul which is Christ the anointing in you. They are mites in this good land of spiritual giants. A whole host of witnesses have your back. Come on take hold of my hand and I’ll walk you through. You’ll see that their bark is worse than their bite.. you won’t feel a thing. Just take your ground and all that I am offering. Fear not and only believe. I am taking you into the Promised Land and they can never take that away from you. They are powerless ghosts they have no authority over you. Just listen to the voice of your good shepherd, He’ll tell you what to do. Shhh little soul there is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, those He set free are free indeed! Nothing can separate you from the love of God that is in you! You are being made holy as He is holy, be reconciled to the truth, God is not a man that He should lie! What he said he will do He will surely do, is doing right now, exceedingly and abundantly above all you would ever ask or think. Only believe. He is at work in you to will and to do His good pleasure. He is satisfaction. He is liberty. He is freedom from all harm. He has the keys and is sharing them with you, He is not done with you yet He will never leave you nor forsake you. You will yet see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!! Be of good courage and faint not for all your trials and troubles are merely a form and a prototype of the things to come. As deep and as dark as your trials become, they are only a reflection or revelation of how bright and glorious the victory will be when it comes. And we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. We are over comers, our names written in the book of life, heirs to the King, part of all that is good and holy. Rejoice and again I say rejoice! I in you and you in Me… that is the way it will always be. So settle yourself and gird up the loins of your mind … be steadfast for the enemy the devil goes around like a roaring lion testing and seeking those he may devour. The goal of the pit is to steal, kill and destroy. Christ in you is power, love and a sound mind. This is the truth that cannot be shaken and has no shadow of turning. This is the truth that makes demons flee!! Start pronouncing your victory.
THE RESULT
And in this recognition, I was instantly set free, fortified for my day and much wiser to the ways of my enemy. If I am feeling humiliated and oppressed I can be sure it is not a Godly voice I hear.
Victory is only a thought away. If I cannot get the thoughts and feelings to go on my own, I can call on another Godly influenced friend and ask for a reality check. What is the truth about me??
The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. The kingdom of God is in you.
Christ in you is head of your household which is your spirit soul and body. Access Him. Defeat your enemies. Amen
